The project

A $25M big-box grocery store for WinCo Foods in Klamath Falls, Oregon, completed in March 2026 — delivered by the same Grocery sector team that has carried WinCo work across California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Arizona.

The relationship

WinCo is what repeat business looks like on paper. EWB’s qualification statement lists more than a dozen WinCo projects spanning ground-up stores, major remodels ($8M–9M store rebuilds in Chico and Yuba City), fire-protection and refrigeration work, bakery and fixture packages, and the distribution-center fuel island in Phoenix — from six-figure service projects to this $25M store.

That range matters: a grocer keeps a contractor on the small work only when the big work goes well, and brings them the big work only when the small work is handled with the same discipline.

How EWB builds grocery

Refrigeration is treated as the schedule’s critical path, not a finish-phase follower. Fixture and décor packages run through crews that have set hundreds of them. And occupied-store work follows the standard our grocery clients expect: the store trades every day.
