The project

A ground-up big-box grocery store in Klamath Falls, Oregon, completed in March 2026 — delivered by the same Grocery sector team that has carried this client’s work across California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Arizona, and now Montana.

The relationship

This confidential big-box grocer is what repeat business looks like on paper. EWB’s qualification statement lists more than a dozen projects for the client: ground-up stores, major store rebuilds in Northern California, fire-protection and refrigeration work, bakery and fixture packages, and a distribution-center fuel island in Arizona — from small service projects to full ground-up stores, with a new store currently underway in Montana.

That range matters: a grocer keeps a contractor on the small work only when the big work goes well, and brings the big work only when the small work is handled with the same discipline.

How EWB builds grocery

Refrigeration is treated as the schedule’s critical path, not a finish-phase follower. Fixture and décor packages run through crews that have set hundreds of them. And occupied-store work follows the standard our grocery clients expect: the store trades every day.
